Burlington Assault

Police are seeking the identity of a suspect in connection with a serious assault that took place in the City of Burlington.

Detectives from the Halton Regional Police Service 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking the identity of a male responsible for a serious assault that took place on the roadway of Fairview St just west of Guelph Line in the City of Burlington.

On Thursday, December 13th, 2018, at approximately 6:13 A.M, a lone male suspect approached the victim on the roadway and an argument ensued as a result of a road rage incident. After a brief exchange of words between the two, the suspect approached the victim and struck him in the head. The victim fell to the ground as a result and the suspect then kicked the victim in the head causing a significant injury to his face. Following the assault, the suspect fled the area in his vehicle.

Suspect – male, white, 25-35 years of age, thin build, approximately 6’2” tall, brown hair and beard, wearing a “Toronto Maple Leafs” winter toque, dark coloured jacket, and dark pants. The male suspect was also operating an older model Chevrolet Malibu, brown or gold in colour.

Police are asking the public for their assistance in identifying the male involved and want anyone who may know him, or who may have witnessed this incident, to come forward and assist police in solving this crime.
