 NEWS RELEASE

HALTON CRIME STOPPERS
Elton Rohn – A tribute to Elton John performing concert March 21 to help support Crime Stoppers of Halton

The hit music of Elton John, one of the world’s top recording artists, will reverberate through the St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre this Spring in Oakville when Elton Rohn performs a concert in support of Halton Crime Stoppers.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, 2018 with the doors opening at 7 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Purchase tickets online or by calling 1-888-777-9793

Elton Rohn and his internationally-renowned tribute to Elton John has thrilled audiences across Canada and the U.S. since 2007 and is the only tribute group asked to peform at the Elton John convention in Las Vegas.

Elton Rohn is actually Ron Camilleri, son of the late Charlie Camilleri, a star quarterback who led the Toronto Argonauts to Grey Cup victories in 1946 and 1947 over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. After a broken pelvis ended his football career, Camilleri had a 30-year career with Columbia Records of Canada where he helped such stars to success such as Burton Cummings, Janis Joplin and Bruce Springsteen.

Ron Camilleri developed an interest for Elton John’s music while a student at a high school in Mississauga and worked on developing a tribute to the icon with many shows produced in support of local charities.

As Elton Rohn, Ron Camilleri has an uncanny ability to transform into Elton John with audiences feeling they are at a 1970’s Elton John live concert.

His band is also made up of some of Canada’s finest musicians, and every note is played live with a full four part harmony.

A donation from the proceeds of the Oakville performance will go to Crime Stoppers of Halton that is helping make Halton Region one of the safest municipalities of its size in Canada to raise a family and do business.
