Fugitive Friday – Shane Cecil JOHNSTON

​Today is Fugitive Friday, wherein the Halton Regional Police Service reaches out to the public to help locate wanted persons and hold them accountable for their actions.

There are numerous people who continue to evade police and the court system and live out in our communities while having a warrant for their arrest in place.

Halton Regional Police Service’s Offender Management Unit is sharing information on a wanted person in hopes that members of the public can assist in locating the individual.

We will share Fugitive Friday information on our website and via social media (i.e. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram).

In this edition of Fugitive Fridays for 2017 the 3 District, Burlington Criminal Investigation Bureau is searching for Shane Cecil JOHNSTON 36 years of age, of Hamilton ON.

It is alleged:

  • In March of 2017 JOHNSTON attended the Burlington area and stole a motor vehicle.  JOHNSTON also left behind a vehicle he had stolen earlier, which was stolen from Hamilton.
  • The vehicle stolen was seen later that night during a Break and Enter in Ancaster.
  • JOHNSTON has been identified in numerous Break and Enters in Burlington and Hamilton. 
  • Halton Police, along with Hamilton Police, are currently trying to locate JOHNSTON and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.  

His whereabouts are unknown at this time.

 He is now wanted by Hamilton Police Service for:

Break and Enter (6 counts) 

  • Fail to Comply with Probation (14 counts) 
  • Theft over $5,000.00
  • Disguise with intent (5 counts)
  • Possession Over $5,000.00 (2 counts)
  • Possession Under $5,000.00

JOHNSTON is described as 6’0”, 170 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes, and also appears to be unshaven.  

JOHNSTON is known to frequent Burlington, Hamilton, Brantford and the surrounding areas.
