Fugitive Friday Week #50

It is week #50 of our Fugitive Friday initiative wherein the Halton Regional Police Service reaches out to the public to help locate wanted persons and hold them accountable for their actions.
There are numerous people who continue to evade the police and the court system and continue to live out in our communities while having a warrant for their arrest in place.
Every Friday, Halton Regional Police Offender Management Unit will share information on a wanted person in hopes that the public can assist in locating the individual.
We will share Fugitive Friday information on our website and via social media through our website.
 
In this edition of Fugitive Fridays for 2016 the 1 District, Milton Offender Management Unit is searching for Shyla-Rae SAMPSON 27 years of Milton ON.

  • In March of 2016 SAMPSON was operating a motor vehicle in the Town of Milton. Police observed SAMPSON operate this vehicle that had significant damage on it.
  • Police investigated and spoke with SAMPSON and it was believed she had been consuming alcohol; she then failed the Approved Screen Device test and was subsequently arrested.
  • SAMPSON was later charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in her blood.
 
  • On a second and separate incident in September of 2016 SAMPSON was in possession of counterfeit money and was attempting to purchase items at several stores in the area of Maple Avenue and Thompson Road, Milton.
  • SAMPSON was unsuccessful in her attempts; however, Police located her in the area and arrested her while she was in possession of the counterfeit money. SAMPSON was charged with possession of the counterfeit money and a fraud offence.
  • SAMPSON has failed to appear for court dates for all of the charges against her.
  • Her whereabouts are unknown at this time.
  • A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
She is now wanted by Halton Regional Police Service for:
  • Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood
  • Fraud Under $5000
  • Possession of Counterfeit Money
  • Fail to Attend Court – 2 Counts

SAMPSON is described as 5’3”, 150 lbs with brown/blonde hair and blue eyes.  
 
SAMPSON is known to frequent Milton, Brampton, Mississauga and the surrounding areas.
