
Alex Dia wanted by Halton Regional Police
It is week #45 of our Fugitive Friday initiative wherein the Halton Regional Police Service reaches out to the public to help locate wanted persons and hold them accountable for their actions.
There are numerous people who continue to evade the police and the court system and instead live out in our communities while having a warrant for their arrest in place.
Every Friday, Halton Regional Police Service's Offender Management Unit shares information on a wanted person in hopes that the public can assist in locating the individual.
Fugitive Friday information is also posted on our website and disseminated via social media through Twitter and Facebook.
In this edition of Fugitive Friday, 2 District Oakville's Offender Management Unit is searching for Alex DIA, 24 of Toronto, ON.
It is alleged:
- In October of 2015 DIA illegally came into possession of multiple victims bank records and had counterfeit identification for the victims
- DIA attended several banks in the Oakville area and defrauded the victims by accessing their bank accounts.
- DIA managed to defraud the victims for approximately $24,000.00.
- DIA has been identified as being involved in defrauding further victims at banks in the City of Burlington in August of 2015.
- A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
- His whereabouts are unknown at this time
He is now wanted by Halton Regional Police Service for:
- FRAUD UNDER $5000 X 5
- FRAUD OVER X 4
- POSSESS COUNTERFEIT MARK
- PERSONATION WITH INTENT X 2
- CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT X 2
- TRAFFICKING IDENTITY DOCS X 4
- FAIL TO APPEAR IN COURT
DIA is also wanted by Toronto Police Service for numerous Fraud offences.
DIA is described as 5’7”, 140 lbs black hair and brown eyes.
DIA is known to frequent Oakville, Burlington, Toronto and the surrounding areas. He is also known to be in the Montreal area.
